no sound at all !!!!!!!

    I have no sound on my computer. I had to do a full system restore and now I have no sound at all, but when I run my sound test my speakers work fine but only in my test, other then that no sound any help would be very helpful thanks.

    Also when I go to the sound icon in the bottom right corner of my computer and right click on it and pick volume control a windows pops up and says no active mixer devices available

    I found out what it was.

    You may need to re-install your audio drivers. When you open your hardware device manager, are there any yellow exclamation points in the sound controller area?

    Dkbaked, Thanks for the advice< I found out what it was. It was My friends computer and he had to do a full system restore and when he was done he had no sound, I finally found out that in his Administrative Tools in the control panel under services the windows audio use not turned on and that was what was keeping him from having sound.

    Nice find. When that happens to me I usually just reboot, you might have found a way to save me some time in the future! Thanks.
