ok firstly i apologise if im in the wrong section, right here goes, alls been well, ive been using your guides to good effect and have been converting div x to dvd with no problems using, TMPGEnc, TMPGE DVD author and nero. your guides are good and so far no problems, well until now....
converted to dvd as usual, but when i play dvd in my stand alone player theres no sound.
the sound is there if i play the movie on my pc. i managed to extract the sound to a wav file using virtual dub (i dont know why i did this, just to prove it was there i think) but now im lost, whats occured?
avi codec gives the following information on the div x file :
    Audio : 94 MB, 140 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = Lame MP3, Supported
and on the file ive ran through TMPGEnc it says:
    Audio : 259 MB, 384 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x50 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 (MP2), Supported

any ideas anyone? is there an easy way to give my film some music?? any ideas gratfully received!! thx brabs

did you try the audio button on your DVD remote? Also if your audio channel is a DTS then some players won't be able to play DTS audio. If the computer drive plays the DVD fine (with audio) then it's there and you might have DTS or a different audio channel is selected and you have to use your Audio button on the remote to get to the correct audio! good luck.
