No sound on final DivX Product

    Hello

    I am transfering some old VHS tapes into DivX format using Pinnacle Studio 9. I have my VCR connected to my graphics card via component connection and when I am capturing the video the image resolution and sound are fine. however, once I have finished with the capture the preview playback and final DivX version has no sound. I have checked my capture device audio selection which is C-Media Wave Device - Front Line-In. Like I said the sound can be heard fine when caputuring but it does not play on my preview.

    Are you capturing directly to DivX?

    Is the audio out from the vcr connected to the PC's soundcard?
    Did you check your soundcard mixer to make sure the appropriate
    sections are active?

    Yes I am capturing to avi and I did check the sound mixer. Like I said the audio is fine during capture just not in playback!

    drag the file into virtualdub and look at file/info.
    It will confirm if there is/isn't an audio section.
