I have a video capture card that I am using to get my .mpg file and using ShowBiz DVD to create my .mpg video into a DVD format. My mpg file has sound when I play on my computer but when I create my DVD there is no sound. Why? Is it because the format that I captured my mpg file? What should the parameters be set too? I am using PVR Plus USB capture devise with the followings:

    Video I/P format: YUY2
    Capture format: MPEG 2
    Capture Size: 640x480
    Capture Qaulity: Fastest
    Frame Rate: 30
    Audio Format: WaveFomatEX;PCM, 44100Hz, 0 Bits, 2 Channel

Change your audio bitrate to as high as you can get it, and either recode or change the capture to AC3 audio. I've never had any problems personally using pcm but I end up recoding all files to fully compliant mpeg using tmpgenc anyway. This may be a harder/more time consuming way to do it, but it should work.

I only have audio formats as follows:
    Audio Format: WaveFomatEX;PCM, 44100Hz, 0 Bits, 2 Channel

Some are higher and lower frquency (bit rates). I don't have a choice for AC3. I have tried the highest bit rate of 96000hz and still no sound.

Are you referring to when you play the DVD on the computer, or the files? Also, bitrate and frequency are different, if you're encoding it to MPEG audio it should work, and I would reccomend TMPGEnc for that aspect of things, I've had no problems with that previously
