I have watched DVD's fine for the last year or so on my pc, but suddenly there is no sound on them . The picture is fine.
This is for pre-recorded DVD's only , and when playing them thru any DVD software. I usually use Windows Media Player (version 10) , and have just downloaded and tried Div X dvd player to try that.
The volume tab on WMP is high, and the mute button isnt on.
I have checked thru the audio settigns and cant see anything. I can play cd's okay , and a DVD -R i recorded myself .

    Any help gratefully received.

    Hi,
You could have delete some programme that contained AC3filter.

I was having the same problem with there being no sound when I played a DVD on my PC. The AC3 Filter download seemed to fix the problem. Thanks henryting!

    Henryting,

You're a life saver. I was going nuts trying to figure out why some of my dvds had sound and others didn't. I downloaded the AC3Filter and now it seems to be working fine.
