Hey the guide u gave me, it still wont work. I encode everything, but when it gets to 40% it says invaild error? btw i was using TMPGEnc.

What i want to do it is the convert XVID files to SVCD format. how can i do that? i used nero and that didn't work. TMPGEnc has errors when i encode.

    What other methods are there?

I WANNA WATCH MOVIES ON THE BIG SCREEN HELP!

Hey again, I got the TMPGEnc working now, the problem now is that i have a XVID files that is 700megs, but when i use TMPGEnc to encode to a SVCD format, it requires like 4 cdz around 3gigz? what's goin' on!?????????

I suppose it would depend on the file length and birate settings! I jumped to the conclusion that TMPGEnc messed up and was over-estimating file length again!

Yes Dela! your right! it's over over stating the size of the file! this is driving me nuts! i mean like the XVID file is only 700megs. When converted to SVCD it's like 3gigs! wdH? and when on DVD it's like 7 gigs!?

Is there anyway i can fix this problem? with DIVX files i can burn no problems with nero, but XVID is a horror story for me. Dam XVID!!!!!

What's going on!?

i want to watch my movies on the nig screen! no point of pictures with no sound :(

Okay, the sound works now! i did more research on the site BUT... there is another problem. When i encode the video, and play it back into a stand-alone, or computer, it doesn't show the subtitles!? it magically dissapeared!

    lol relax!!

Ok when u watch it on your DVD Player has it stretched it and the subtitles get cut off?

If it has, then sorry but the encoding needs to be done again BUT this time, you need to go to setting - advanced and change "Video Arrange Method" to "Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio)".
