This is the first movie I have downloaded so please excuse me if I say anything that doesn't make sense. =)

Ok, after downloading and "unRARing" I had two .avi files. I then used Cucusoft Converter (Pro Version)v7.07 to merge, convert, and burn the movie. When I was finished the DVD(+R) had two files on it AUDIO_TS(which is empty) and VIDEO_TS(with .ifo .vob .bup files in it.) The dvd plays fine and has sound when it is played in the computer or on the TV using the Playstation. But if I play it using the sony DVD player it has no sound. Does anyone know what I did wrong and/or how I can fix it?

    Another question:
When backing up a DVD that I have, (not something downloaded) I was wondering about dual layer DVDs. If a movie is to big to fit on a single layer DVD can it just be put on a dual layer instead of being compressed/reauthored to fit on a single layer? I have been using DVDShrink, but have only done small things that I could get to fit on a single layer DVD. I have not tried any long movies and thought I would ask before I went out and bought dual layer DVDs since they are not very cheap.
    Thanks
    Shawn

In answer to your question regarding Dual Layer DVD, yes, you can put larger movies on them. But, before you buy any DL media, ensure your writer supports them. Your burner has to be capable of writing to Dual Layer. Also, many writers only support DL + and not DL -.
