Hmm when you try and say play a song what happens? Does it look like its playing you just cant hear anything? Or does it refuse to play?

You may want to open the PC up and make sure none of the wires came loose from the sound card and also check your volume control panel thru windows. Sometimes the WAV or CD volume feature is turned off. Also check the sound settings under Control Panel and Device Manager to make sure there is no conflict. Update the drivers while your at it to see if that helps.
