No thumbnails in Windows Movie Maker

    I have been using WMM for years, but all of a sudden I am not getting any thumbnails of the clips, just the Winodw Movie Player icon.
    Its making it almost impossible to create films .

    I cant find ny setting that alters this. I have ensure under 'view', that thumbnails is selected.

    Im running Windows Movie Maker 5.1 and Windows Media Player version 10 .
