Approximately 1 week ago my PC with XP Pro stopped playing DVD's - giving the error message: "No video acceleration in this display mode. Please select a lower color depth (16-bits) or resolution (1024 x 768)" I'm running an Nvidia 6800GT PCI Expess GPU and have tried updating and even rolling back the drivers. I've tried lowering the resolution (although it's never been an issue before) with no luck. The thing is, I've seen a couple of other posts from people with the same problem -- unfortunately, no helpful responses. I generally view DVD's with Ulead's DVD player but have also tried MediaPlayer 10, and Power DVD. My components are all high end. Does anyone have an idea or two about what could be causing this minor irritation?
