No Video During VOB Playback

    i am trying to convert video files to vob's using wina avi when it is done i try them out in vlc meadia player and i can only hear the sound no pic can sum1 help me resolve this annoying thing? ps if i burn the dvd anyway will it still be the same and has any1 else had this problem

    You probably need an mpeg-2 decoder, or the original is a fake and contains no video anyhow.
    Try playing in WinDVD or PowerDVD (or even Nero Showtime).

    I believe VLC includes an (unlicensed) MPEG-2 decoder. Of course being unlicensed that still makes rebootjim's suggestion the best place to start.

    ok i will try playing it in a diffent prog but i have succesfully played other vobs in vlc

    VLC will play most stuff, but even it can fail on some things...which is why I mentioned that it may be a fake file to begin with, or whatever process you used to get a .vob has failed.

    i played it ok i nero showtime does this mean that it works and is ok to burn to dvd?
