I'm trying to rip Star Trek Nemesis using Smartripper, VOBedit and IFOedit. Now I've used a few guides to try and achieve this but the point I get stuck at is when I go to create the new IFO's, using IFOedit, for the program chain I ripped, in Smartripper/Movies, I get told "Could not find any VOB unit in VOB files(s)" Or if I try to create the IFO's by opening the original IFO then I get told "NO navigation pack found in VOB file(s)" "Looks like you are dealing with an invalid VOB files(s)" This is my first time trying to rip and is proving quite complicated. But refuse to let it beat me.
damn, I don't much care for SmartRipper as anything for a Newbie to try - so I'm going to suggest Decrypter ONLY if you want to do some major editting. OTHERWISE - If you just want to backup your DVD - I'd like to see you work with DVD Shrink and Nero for your burn - - That said, here you go - Shrink download - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm Shrink Guide - http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/dvd_shrink_3.htm and for burning, you just need this installed on your PC - DVD Shrink will do the rest - A 30-day, free, fully functional Nero 6 download can be had here: http://www.nero.com/us/631939541422774.php Welcome to the Club and Happy Burning Pete _X_X_X_X_X_[small]The “old man” Pete (ö¿ô) Compaq 8000, Pent 4 CPU 2.84GHz, 1GB RAM. 340GB HD, 7200 (Maxtor 120, Western 200 & 20. 4 Drives, JLMS DVD ROM, HP DVD Writer 200j, Nec 4X DVD RW ND-1300A & AXV CD/DVD-ROM.
