Installed new hard drive just for messin' with videos, Nothing but WinXP, MB drivers and the files that make them tick..No conflcts! On old hard drive (This One) when I converted an AVI using ConvertXtoDvd I would get an audio skip. Converted same AVI on new drive and audio is perfect but have one big problem, no matter what player I use I get no Video..Swapped codecs and paks in and out 'till I was blue in the face..No results..Booted back to this drive and played DVD I converted on new drive and it played perfect. All in sync and no audio skip..Googled and read everything ever written about no video problem and have yet to figure it out. Guess next step is to see if they have ant updates for my video card drivers..Any magicians out there?
I decided to try a winXP repair, Put XP install disk in and about 1/2 thru ir said it can't continue because of some missing files!!Probably why I got no video..Doing a format and will install XP from scratch and then see what happens..
