No voice over on Xvid

    I have a DVDrip of a movie and I don't get any voice over, I get video, and audio from music and sound effects but no voice. Anybody know whats going on here?

    The problem is the sound of the AC3 codec is 5.1 and not stereo which is what I guess you are listening in.

    You need to configure the AC3Filter to stereo. If you have the k-lite codec pack installed as I do you can goto
    Program Files->k-lite codec pack->configuration->ac3filter.

    If you don't search your harddrive for ac3filter.ax and then create a shortcut with

    Target = C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe ac3filter.ax,config
    Start In = "C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\filters" or where ever you find the file

    Run this (either from the shortcut or menu item) and then on the main tab change the drop down box in the top left for output from "AS IS (no change)" to 2/0 Stereo.

    You can then save this as the default profile in the preset box below.

    Start up your movie again and happy viewing
