We need the Network, it is vital, otherwise if we guess the network the phone will end up hardlcoked.
Hey Thanks for ur reply. ohh crap. ive already tried 2 codes. Is that me screwed? Gonna try phoning the person that had the phone, they will be able to tell me. Once i know that should i post another msg? Thanks
If the mobile in total has only had 2 attempts at unlocking you have 1 more try before it becomes hardlocked. When you get the correct Network post in here and we shall see what we can do
Rite, got through there. It was on Vodafone UK before hand. Does that help. If its hardlocked does that mean theres nothing i can do??? :-(
If the mobile is hardlocked it means that the mobile will only work with the original service provider. But you will still have the option of taking/sending it to a professional unlocker. As I have the network and country all I need now is the IMEI number enter *#06# or look underneath the battery without the ///. Cheers
I hope all the information is correct!!! UK Vodafone IMEI 353797006178192 [bold]Only try the code once and once only!!![/bold] Please remember you only get 3-5 attempts before your mobile becomes hardlocked. If you have already tried different codes before mine your mobile could already be hardlocked. If it is hardlocked you will get one the following messages Can Not Undo Restriction / Not Allowed If you mobile is hardlocked the only way to unlock it is by taking/sending it to a professional unlocker. Please make sure the information you give is correct before typing in the code. Here is your code: #pw+032173663023773+7# [bold]If the mobile gives no response/no message then do the following:[/bold] Insert a non accepted sim, press the undo button, a box should appear saying enter restriction code, enter the code given and press ok Remove sim first, power on the phone. After the phone boots up, press # Press * 3 times fast for (p) Press * 4 times fast for (w) Press * 2 times fast for (+) Verify code before pressing the last #. "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked! Please reply with your results.
Sorry jsut to be clear. I need sim in to enter code? and at the end of that code there is a (+7#) ..do i also need to enter that too? Sorry to be a pain
That's ok! [bold]No sim in the phone[/bold] Yes enter everything #pw+032173663023773+7# Remove sim first, power on the phone. After the phone boots up, press # Press * 3 times fast for (p) Press * 4 times fast for (w) Press * 2 times fast for (+) Verify code before pressing the last #. "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked! Good luck
Hey me again. I had a 6220 from a while back that i threw in a drawer after it give me the msg 'Phone restricted'. The thing is it was always on O2 and i never chnged the sim. i turned it off one day and when i turned it on this is what it said. Can u help once again??
Have you got another O2 sim to put in the mobile one that has been registered and has credit on? Was the mobile a contract phone or pay as you go?
If your other o2 sim works fine then o2 must of de-activated your sim. I know that a long time ago most UK mobile phone companies said you must top up your sim at least once every 6 months to keep the sim valid. Regards
nO IT WONT TAKE ANY OTHER SIM. (opps sorry bout caps) I jsut tried it there and its still saying phone restricted?? do i need to do the same process as yesterday?
So you just tried another o2 sim, is that correct? and when you power on the phone it says phone restricted. No other sim will also work, correct? one of two things that I can think of at the moment is 1) the mobile has been blacklisted/barred and is un-useable 2) o2 was not the original network and you will need to find out what network was. Sorry for not being much help. If we can not get this sorted I will get JG to have a look
yeah i jsut tried my other O2 sim and it doesnt work. The one that i originaly used in the phone is at home. O2 was always the network form start to finish. I cant think why the ohone would possibly be blacklisted. Do u think i should try a code like i did yesterday. It literally was the nxt day i turned my phone on and thats wot it had said. thanks for you help tho
The 6220 I have never unlocked before it will take me about 10-20 minutes to do research on the model if you do not mind waiting? If you give all the information I will get to it as soon as I can. Regards
