I also have an AT&T GSM Nokia 3300b currently not being used, and when calling Cingular to find out if I could use my Cingular SIM card in the 3300b, I am told I cannot. But surely there is a way around this. Can anyone help? I'm obviously new to this site, but I'd like to get the most out of the phones I have. Is there any way to manually select the network on either the 3300b or 6010?
Hi, Yes you can use any sim in your fones, you just need to unlock them to use any other sim, if they are locking your sim out, just post the imei number,without the slashes, the network they are locked to and the country you are in. I will generate a code for you, which you key into the fone to unlock it. psxnut
I appreciate your input, although I do not have that particular phone with me. I'll try to log on sometime tomorrow and get that to you at that time. Is there any hope for my Nokia 6010 and using other networks? I posted that info on another thread today. You should look and find it, then maybe let me know.
I could tell you, but you could search and read around the forum, it would give you a better idea of what unlocking is about. your 6010 can be unlocked by code only if you have not entered more than 5 codes.
