Hi there, I've tried various software and now have only 2 tries left I think:

    Nokia 6230i
    IMEI: 359740007666462
    Country: UK
    Network: Orange

    Thanks for any help,
    Paul

Most new 6230's only allow 3 attempts.....what was your last error message?

Code error I think. The same as the others. I maxed out the attempts on my older 6230i and that certainly says something different now. I think I got 5 on the old one (same model, a year old). The one I'm trying to unlock now is brand new.

Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted"
    Press the UNDO option
You should see a box that says enter restriction code.
Enter the code given and then press (OK)

[bold]Remove sim first, power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
    Press * 3 times fast for (p)
    Press * 4 times fast for (w)
    Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
    "Code error", don't try again!!
    "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked![/bold]

Thanks. This time it said "cannot undo restriction" :(. What are my options now? I assume I have to take it into a shop? What exactly would I need to reflash it myself?
