Nokia 6230i unlocking

I need help to unlock my 6230i on tesco mobile IMEI No 358827006287084, I have tried twice with 2 diffrent codes,
please help

1. Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted"
2. Press the UNDO option
3. You should see a box that says enter restriction code.
4. Enter the code given and then press (OK)

I have the unlock codes for my 6230i(on orange), I put in a O2 sim and the screen said restricted access, I selected undo and tried to put in the code, but only the numbers came up- not the letters, even though I was pressing within 2 secs.
Any ideas?
