Earlier this yea I bought my boyfriend a nokia 6300 and lastnight I tried to unlock the keypad, he had enabled the security code on the keypad and I typed in the code but it did not work, I thought he must of changed it and tried again but it did not work. The phone is now locked and the security pin he changed it to does not work and the default nokia SP does not work either, we can turn the phone on and receive calls but can't read missed calls or msgs or get into his phone book which we urgently need a number out of, any help would be greatly appreciated as he is very mad at me=S IME: 359544/01/194870/4 Thank you please help! When we turn the phone on it asks for the security code to unlock it straight off.
PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code The PUC code will allow you to change your PIN number to a new PIN number when the phone is blocked. The only time the PUC is needed is if you entered the incorrect PIN 3 times. If you enter the incorrect PIN 3 times, the system will be "blocked" and you will be required to use a new PIN. The old PIN will not work anymore. The PUC code allows you to unblock the phone and change the PIN to a familiar number. The PUC is supplied be your Service Provider with the new SIM. They can usually provide it if you loose it.
Thank you, I appreciate it- One more question=D I tried a similar generator thing on another site and it gave me the same code (I am pretty sure it was the same) and it did not work but I was wondering if that is because it is in the keypad-lock state?
I have nothing to add. The 6300 is a new phone and you need to go back to your Network Provide and sort it out. J
