Hi, My wife has purchased a nokia 6630 which is locked to the 3 network, we have obtained the unlock code from 3 via the original contract holder. but he has just given us the code, with no sequence or instruction, we have phoned 3 and they have told us the phone MUST have the original 3 SIM in the phone to do it? can anyone advise on this situation please. kind regards TarquinJ
Be careful with scams. I do not think any one with our know-how can help you with this phone. Different tech. Your service provider can give you with a code. It'll cost you. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/253382 Important info about 6630, 6680 & 6682. As of March 21 2006 these 3 fones are not, unlockable with code, unless you manage to get a code from the original network provider of these fones. Any programs or people who claim to be able to unlock them, are more than likely a hoax or even worse a con, do not pay for any unlock proceedure or you will get stung. You have been warned. There is no point in posting any request for a code for these fones on the forum, requests for them have been requested so many times, I personally have got tired of repeating the same answer over and over again.Replies to these requests are being ignored by me from now on. we already have the unlock code purchased from the network, but need to know the sequence in which to input the code, and does the original 3 SIM card have to be in the phone at the time?? Tarq
Try the sequence below first. If you do not get any response after entering the code, try the sequence below that. Remove Your Sim Card, Power The Phone On Press # From The (Insert Sim) Screen Press * 3 Times Fast For (p) Press * 4 Times Fast For (w) Press * 2 Times Fast For (+) And Then Press The Final # 1. Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted" 2. Press the UNDO option 3. You should see a box that says enter restriction code. 4. Enter the code given and then press (OK)
