Nokia Dbox

Good Morning,

I've just recieved an original Nokia DBox which I bought from eBay. At the moment I don't know anything about it or how to use them properly.



That's the picture of the model I have.

Now, we bought another dbox a few weeks ago and we basically just plugged it in, scanned and then it worked. However this won't scan properly, it doesn't pick up any channels (NTL).

Could anybody give me some advice or point me in the right direction?

Mate you know your previous box take the service.xml and boquets from em and load em onto your new one that should solve it and save you alot of time in near future

 

my dbox isnt picking up all the channels, its saying alot of them are unavailable.

 

This is a Dbox1 not a Dbox2. You can´t install Linux Neutrino on these boxes and you can´t set them in debug state. These boxes are to buy for 15GBP available. But they are worthlessly.

 

What he said ^ To tell the difference between 1 and 2 the dbox2 as an lcd screen at the front, like the man says the dbox1 is useless.

 

Hi All . Any chance someone could please send me a newbie guide for a Nokia dbox 2 as Ive just bought one and got it up and running but its all a bit hit and miss as I dont know much about them.

Hi can you send me a newbie guide on using the dbox 2. My email address is INGO1ST@NTLWORLD.com. Like you I have little knowledge using this unit. ALthough I have all chanels I would like to use the box on my network to PC. setting it up is a nightmare for me. Can you help.
