Hi all, Maybe someone can share some tips that they may already have found, or tell me that I do need to change the setup... I've setup my dbox 2 for direct recording to my laptop. The mount points work fine and the dbox can see them. The setup is exactly as described in all of the FAQs that I've read - they're all the same(ish). The problem is that I get an error message saying essentially that the dbox can't write the data quick enough to the disk. Now, my feeling is that as my laptop is connected to the LAN over Wifi, this just isn't fast enough... However, before I go and buy a bright pink, ugly beast of a patch cable, does anyone have any tips or thoughts on this?? Cheers muchly.
try the method I use - you need to run a program called WinGrab on the PC/Laptop got o http://netwave.redirectme.net/dbox/pvr all necessary applications and installation guide is on web site.
I've seen this before and played around with it - I had just thought that it would be easier without running server software on the PC as well. Can I assume that the Direct Recording functionality effectively doesn't work then?
