i'm thinking of waiting for the n810 to come out and getting one as an alternative to a laptop. (it'd probably be a bit cheaper too - i've seen a new n800 for 230 quid on ebay) it makes sense as i would mostly use it for the internet and i have wi-fi at home. i'm quite excited by the fact these mobiles/pdas/mini pcs run on open source software - does anyone know of any apps out at the moment or planned? or is anyone else looking forward to them?

at the moment i use my psp for the internet a fair bit and it's handy because i can always start up a game when i get bored, but the n810 should allow for much the same thing except with an actual keyboard which would be a huge advantage and potentially eventually have a bigger range of games! might also make sense to sign up for skype.
