    Hi,

I would really appreciate it if you could provide me with the unlock code for my Nokia 6061.

    IMEI: 011146/00/016700/5
    Provider: Rogers
    Country: Canada

It's an old phone that I don't use anymore but want to set it up as an emergency phone for my niece but Rogers is a rip off... they are charging for incoming text messages since July and didn't inform their customers (it used to be free before July). Also, they claim unlimited mobile on-device browsing but that means that you can access their rogers mall but you can't actually access the internet without them charging you. Honestly, they do bad business and now that there is new competition (Wind Wireless) in town, I'm going to switch!

Anyway, if any of you can do this for me that would be great. If you can't, that's okay too, I don't really need this phone and it's not worth paying to unlock this old phone (I already paid to unlock my main phone).

    Thanks, Microw

I understood a couple of years back that the RH-98 could only be unlocked by the provider... is this still the case? I managed to get a hold of the unlocked RH-98 flash file but am not sure how to flash this onto my phone without buying a JAF box... any advice?

    According to http://www.unlockitfree.com/unlocknok4.php
the following codes will unlock my phone:
    #pw+986472303551710+1#
    #pw+251505074062641+2#
    #pw+202005220167040+3#
    #pw+307936424676771+4#
    #pw+401777420004610+5#
    #pw+237415155601750+6#
    #pw+026093145567533+7#
I haven't tried any of these yet.

A couple of years back (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/478374) a user in this forum had given me the two following codes:
    #pw+987902303551710+1#
    #pw+027523145567533+7#
But these failed and I haven't tried since then. At that time, it seemed that the RH-98 could only be unlocked by the provider.

I don't want to try any other codes if you know that the RH-98 cannot be unlocked through the above unlock codes. I do have the unlocked RH-98 flash file but I don't know how to flash my phone without buying a JAF box or another expensive piece of hardware.

Any information you may have would be great. Thanks.

As you stated the codes you haven't tried this one will most likely work from your list and it's the exact code I got from the Most Codes Calculated from that Type of Model of Phone.

    Here you go:

    #pw+026093145567533+7#

    Remove SIM CARD !
    Type #
Then press the * key 3times (you should get a "p")
Then press the * key 4times (you should get a "w")
Then press the * key 2times (you should get a "+")
    Then enter: 026093145567533
Then press the * key 2times(you should get a "+")
    Then enter: 7
    Enter: #

    Hi,

I tried it exactly as you suggested but got a "code error".

    Thanks.

The code you gave me was one of the ones that I had mentioned that I got online but had not yet tried. That brings my total of attempts to 3. Anyone know if the total for this phone is 3 or 5 unlock code attempts?

The first link you gave me is the link I had found and used to get the RH-98 file before you replied. The second link you gave me doesn't seem to work... do you have another link for that program? Do you know what cable I need (I don't have any cable for this phone).

    Thanks

    According to

    http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=15940

the program in the broken link you provided is for DCT3 but according to

    http://www.bandung-flasher.com/other-files/12734-the-latest-version-of-nokia-dct4-bb5-list.html

    the Nokia 6061 (RH-98) is a DCT4.

I'm a newbie when it comes to this but just want to make sure I have the right program... and, again, I don't have any cables but if you know which cable I need, I could buy it on ebay if it is not too expensive because this is an old phone and it wouldn't be worth too pay to unlock it or to pay too much of a cable that I can only use on this phone.

    Thanks

For the broken link (http://eh.student.utwente.nl/~landy/test/Nokia%20FlashTool.exe) you gave me... I figured out that using
http://eh.student.utwente.nl/~landy instead works but requires a logon that according to Landy's logon page only smart people can find (mobile:elibom).

Unfortunately, once logged on, there is no folder called "test" and the only folder which makes sense ("Tools(Unlock,Flashers,Etc)" doesn't have the file you mentioned ("Nokia%20FlashTool.exe"). Any ideas?

I did a search within but the only files containing the word "nokia" were:

    Nokia_clip _all_DCT3.zip
    (dct3clip.hex, dct3_scheme_fixed by -=KnOeFz=-clip.txt)

    nokia_clip.zip
    (NokiaCLIP.hex, NokiaCLIP.txt)

None of which resemble the file you mentioned.

Maybe you or someone else (i.e. NoLimit04) has more advice?

    Thanks ;-)

you can use this guide to help you flash the phone.

    http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=344689

Also this tool will work on flashing your phone, I may not be able to help you on the flashing part as I only flashed one phone for a Motorola, which was a complete different software.

    http://www.b-phreaks.co.uk/files/NSS/NSS103815.zip

when installing keep clicking next, you don't have to choose the options. And you will need a cable to hook up your phone to pc. You can buy from ebay as I tried to search what type of usb, couldn't get any results.

So I'll assume that the Nokia 6061 (RH-98) still can't be unlocked using a code. I'd like to flash the phone but it seems really involved so it may be a project for later.

    Thanks!
