OK.. Xbox 1.5 thompson dvd Xecuter 2.3+ lite Can get it to do everything but flash the bios. xbox boots dvd spits out, have inserted cd-rw and nothing. Have got the Focus video chip so just a blank screen with the cromwell bios.. How can I flash the damn thing? This might have been asked before but I couldn't find it... Please HELP!!!!
Ok first of all maybe you should burn the bios to a DVD+/-RW ... boot up the xbox... press A (or not depending if the tray has opened)... when the tray is opened insert the CD/DVD and then press A again... wait and then the xbox should turn off. Now you're flashed... if it doesn't work try putting a dummy file of around 200-300 megs with the bios file... don't forget to rename the bios file to LINUXBIO.BIN
I not formil with the Focus vid deel, but if your tray is opening then cromwell is working I flash with memerex cd-rw with dummy file and bios.bin not an iso you should be able to see your bios flash cd with a PC it must be 1024kb and in the root dir. I use the 4979.06 with the 2.3 make sure what your using works with 2.3
Thanks for the help guys we got it working late last night. Managed to get it to read a ritek dvd-r and it flashed it straight away. I have the nero burn file required if anyone has this problem in future. Just ask Rogue
