Normal for lcd tv

    I bought a Sony Bravia 26in lcd tv and notice that when the hd channels are on the tv and there is a break for commercial a shadow imprint is left on the screen for a split second. is this normal or do i have a problem with the tv. my westinghouse lcd doesn't do this. thanks

    not normal for a sony take it back

    thanks. i did research on image retention. even though it happens on plasma it does occur on lcd's tv but not after 21 days. I am planning to take it back
