I recently had to reformat my computer and lately have i've been installing the programs back on the computer. when I got to installing norton internet security 2005, i got an error message when installing. went to the norton website, and it seems i have previous versions of norton still on my hard drive and in order to re-install this, i have to get rid of those. there's a tool norton has to do that, but it won't work with my browser. i'm using IE 7 (beta 2). i meet all the other requirements, and it says it works with IE 5.5 or higher, so what's the problem? is there a way to manually uninstall them?

Nortons a complex program, it leave a TONNE of junk behind once you uninstall, Id never touch the product, its terrible, do yourself a favour and switch to AVG free, frankly Norton doesnt cut it...

But if you wanna stay with them you do so, try this removal tool:

Try the tool, should do the trick :)

AVG free doesnt get the credit it deserves, it may be free but its great, even though its free its still better than Norton AV (which is subsription), you can run it and be sure that your protected.
