Not allowed to respond

I went to a "guide" put up by a senior member, "Permiggs".

The guide wont work, in my case. I wanted to post a reply, but replying to a tread over 60 days old is not permitted. I wanted to PM the member, but PM's regarding things addressed in formums will result in instant banning.

What's a newbie to do ?

I downloaded some old movies in AVI form. The movies have two language tracks, and I wanted to delete the Spanish track, leaving me only with English.
I tried uing VirtualDubMod, but this created files to large for my FAT32 drive to handle.
In his guide, Permiggs suggested using Nero Recode. I tried this, but Nero wont "see" AVI files. So it appears I'm stuck.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.
