how do i get rid of this or where do i look to get rid of this problem i have tried to go through my pc and delete as much as i can message says that i need 4.38GB and i only have 4.28GB
Here are a few tips to get back some needed space on your hard drive, first downlaod ccleaner slim(has no toolbar) run it and do a cleanup, now right click on your recycle bin and set the storage to half as much as it is now in XP that will be 5% using a slider in Vista you will have to manually put in the numbers just remember what it was divide by half and there you go, make sure to click ok and apply. Now got to disc clean up under system tools and clean up old sysstem restore files keeping only the most recent this options is on the second tab of Disc Cleanup,rember its in accessories-system tools. Now that you have done all that go to my computer-c drive right click-click on properties-then tools run disc check click only the first box which will schedule an automatic disc check and repair any errors like missing free space not being registered properlly by system click apply ok and reboot. This scan will run just prior to system loading once its done it will auto reboot the system you should now have some space back if you wanna get more, you will need to get rid of programs you aren't really using, old files,pics, music things you don't really use anymore or back them up to a cd/dvd rom and remove them from your system in this way you still have access to them should you need them later.
