I am having a problem converting an AVI file to DVD-5. Using Nero Vision 4.5.0.29 to convert an AVI file to DVD, I set the quality to Automatic (fill to disk). The final burn page reports Total space used: 4.37 out of 4.38 GB (Quality: Average) but when it finishes transcoding it says that my disk is too small and to replace it. BTW, the movie is 1:48 long. I burned the project to my hard drive and checked properties of the VIDEO_TS folder - 4.66 GB. Nero Vision seems to be transcoding the file much bigger than the 4.38 GB limit. I also tried changing the quality to Long Play at a lower bitrate which "should" have lowered the final size to 3.88 GB. Still didn't work. The final VIDEO_TS folder is 4.54 GB which is smaller, but still too big. Any ideas?
Hi cabsparks Long play should have worked I would think. Try setting it to standard play with the sample and audio format set to automatic. Adding anything to the menus like mp3's, jpeg's etc? @nimd4 That would be nice but since it ain't happening - members here try and help out to resolve the problem....
