hi,i have an starview box and just got a digital n-l box,witch i run off a splitter,problem is digital box working fine but the starview either losses signal or it doesnt pick up all the channels,any ideas thanks in advance
what forward path anttenuators/amplifiers has the cable provider fitted and what positions they are on. I found I had similar issue with my STB the reason why I got the problem was simply because the tuner inside the box WAS not the best. If you get a variable gain amplifier this 'may' sort your problem out regarding signal. On the other hand it could be that your cable feed or rf cables may have nots in it, bent wires, or you have to much cable so try and straighten them all out and make sure your connections are tight fit. When you do a ch scan do a manual scan and select the lowest transponder you get a signal on also, all these little daft things are worth trying before you spend more dosh on amplifiers or new boxes.
