Just cause it dont work for you doesnt mean other people cant copy it, I did it just with ANYDvd and Shrink and it came out fine, ran it through DVD INFO and there are no read errors or anything, I just watched it to and it fine, so maybe it your setup that is causing the problems

OK, I got Wedding Crashers this morning - figured today would be my day to purchase AnyDVD! But, I tried it the normal way - DVD Shrink
(V 3.1.7.6) normal set up - worked with no problem. And the whole movie and menu system works and extras. Oh Well! Try "The Gospel"... There you will get problems.

I'm in process of testing 2 different copies, 1 with ANYDVD and Platinum - works but dragged in 2 different parts of the 4th and 5th chapters. This DVD player never glitches or anything.... 2nd one was ripped with dvd FAB DECRYPTER and then used VOB BLANKER processed all and used shrink to encode and decrypter to burn - the 4th chapter has a part that loops back into it's self and double plays a scene, i did full disc so I'm going to try just using fab decrypter and shrink pulling only the movie.

    Hey all,
Saw that there was a problem with backing up wedding crashers and decided to peek in and add my 2 cents worth.

There was nothing special about ripping this flick, DVDshrink was able to handle it all by it's self(re-author, main movie only), ImgBurn, decrypter, Roxio, or Nero will take care of the rest.

I plan on doing Crashers sometime in the next few days, I just want to know what the final verdict is? Is it a simple Shrink alone back-up? Or will I need DVDFAB for this? I just don't wanna waste my time and disc.

I got it to work - First tried dvdfab decrypter(up to date) and opened with shrink - but the main tittle were split into 4 short titles. didnt look correct to me. SO i tried good old dvd decrypter and then used shrink - work very well. no problems.

i use anydvd while ripping to my hd with dvdfab. then dvd shrink to shrink / burn (with nero). if i have a problem where dvd shrink wont work properly, i run it through vobblanker, then dvd shrink. it works everytime. the only thing i take out (if needed) is french or spanish audio. i dont re-author the dvd.

    @ GlueEater,

I'v got the newly released DVD in my hands at this very moment, ripped it with shrink only, burned it to disk with Imgburn. I finshed watching it maybe an hour ago, playback was flawless.

    Very funny movie, enjoy it.

    Thank you, good to know.

    @magicmanx

Just to let you know, DVDShrink is NOT a burning software.

iam sorry i said i burned with shrink but my computer does it that way. I guess because i have nero installed on it and once iam done compressing the dvd it automatically picks nero up and burns away.

    Have
Nero 6 ultra (some new version i picked up)
    Dvd Shrink
    Dvd Decrypter
    DVDfab Decrypter
    VOBlanker

Done all new realease and never had any prolems with any. I know other people mention other software to use but this is all you really need. nothing else. for now

Anyone know what the ILV cells are?

For those asking I rarely have any issues backing up any new titles and this one has thrown me for a loop. The movie played with some errors and was watchable, however I don't get playback slow motion, or video looping errors normally and had both these issues using:

1.Fab Decrypter + VOB blanker, shrink, decrypter (?ILV Cells in VOB?)video looping to same scene then played well....
2.Platinum with ANYDVD - slow motion in same areas
    3. Shrink, main movie burn with decrypter??? Have to watch it again for results.

Earlier post with log from VOB shows many unref cells and was trying to skip before processing, but it was alot of data and I processed all because the data would have been minimal when finished... not complete for a movie. less than a gig!

I used Shrinks straight up and had no problem. I have yet to watch the whole movie but no issue s far. So either it worked fine without an issue or I made a really cool beer coaster. (to go with the other 100 or so I have made LOL)

I just finished backing up my movie "Wedding Crashers" and it was easy after a rocky start. My new LG 2166D DL 16X external drive refused to load the DVD. Recode and everything else said "no disc in Drive." AnyDVD didn't go thru the ghost phase as usual. Recode, PowerDVD, nor decrypter=no disc present. So I try another movie in drive , works fine. I put WC into my trusty, 2yr old TDK 440N; reads and recodes and rips. Then burned the movie with the LG which will now recognize it. I haven't watched it yet but checked Chap 10 and it was fine. Recode says there are 3 movies on the dvd and asks if I want to omit the last two.

AnyDVD, riper(s)/shrinker(s)/burner(s) of choice. No sweat.
