NOVEMBER 2008 BAN WAVE !!! - no posts of "Oh POOR ME I'M BANNED", Stop it already, just the facts

Not true, i played GOW2 b4 the oficial release, of course, i never played the online mode although i was online all the time, so i checked last night my account and it was working fine.

Anyway i dont care if they bann my account it expires by the end of this month and i wasnt planning continue with it.

I have just spoke to Microsoft customer support ref

' Your ACCOUNT has been banned due to Violating Terms Of Service '

They confirmed to me it is the 360 console which is banned and not my Live Account. The bloke told me the server had automatically banned me and he told me to go buy a new xbox and then do acc recovery e.t.c.

Iam going to go buy another Xbox 360

My question is :-

Will it be OK to keep swapping my existing hard drive over from banned console to new legit console in order to keep updating achievements/gamerscore ?. Obviously only obtaining achievements (from the banned console) for games after they are officialy released .

Or Should i say to hell with Gamer Score and just stick with one hard drive on legit console and one hard drive on Banned console.

Obviously there are no real concrete answers i just would like some educated advice from some of the more experienced guys on this forum. I'm inclined to just go two seperate hard drives as then issue over.

 

I agree with jondgls, hence the reason I was asking 1500willi what methods you used for scanning your disks. I always use a combination of DVDMulleter, Schtrom360Xtract, XboxBackupCreator and ABGX.net. Using all of these the CODAllstars release checks out perfectly fine. It is Nov 14th, 10:00am est US and I am currently not banned. I played most new releases online the day they came out officially.

 

It doesnt matter, you can still use your old HDD, i got my console banned last year from XBL cos of halo 3 (big mistake) so i got a new xbox and i still use my old hdd.

 

I can't say have been banned but hey I haven't played my 360 on live since the realease of Lost Planet now I don't care enough to buy live. I'm just hoping when I get on to download the Smackdown VS Raw downloadable content I'll be able too. As far as having a flashed 360 why risk it going online. Come on you think microsoft is going to sit back and watch people play game's online weeks before there realease please. To me your asking for the ban hammer, I have a question is I'm not trippin but didn't M$ ban people last november?

 

Ok guys, lets try to figure out if this virus has stopped spreading. If you get banned TODAY ONLY FRIDAY. please keep us informed, if you got banned but it was the other day, please dont post we already know a lot of people got banned, and I dont think we are going to figure out what triggered it.

 

allstars call of duty was stealth but when it verified the data portion of the game came out bad on both abgx and XDVDMulleter remember when i say this but the reason people are getting banned is because of stealth games that arent real backups. being stealth doesnt mean anything except it has the pfi, dmi, and ss that are correct. the game data can still be corrupt.

 

here is an idea. What if these releases we are seeing that we suspect is the cause for the banning were really embedded with something from MS. earlier someone posted a quote from xs where a guy said he had a reliable source at MS saying there was going to be firmware detection built into the NXE when it comes out. so what if these releases have been testing their detection method. You know kind of like a beta test on their new ban hammer lol. just a thought, they would need to test somehting like that i would think before a huge roll out to insure that the wrong ppl dont get hit.

I agree, and along the lines of this too, let us know that you have indeed signed on live earlier this week, and it's not a case of you just getting banned today because you didn't sign in monday-thursday

Im re vLoading Fallout,fable, COD5 and saints to the correct releases that abgx (or what ever its called) to the safes isos to grab. I saw one post on the scene of one dude who JUST BARELY GOT A MODded systed and all he played was COD5 & got banned, so that definetly nails that game.
I have YET to play that game

GOW2= Duh played online(retail)
Saints row 2 =play online (the goosd version)
Fable+_played only 1 time online (redownloading, I might had 1st played bad version)
Fallout3= Never played online(redownloading, 1st time was bad version)
Tom CLancy end war= Not played online

I wonder which rip of the game (Call of Duty 5) caused it?

I saw x360int just released it to the scene like 2 days ago or so, and had a picture linking to an actual retail copy of the game that they used. It checks out stealth wise, so I would want to assume that that version works. I know there was one version leaked (of COD 5) that had a bad SS. So I'm guessing that was it...

 

Im banking that it is, its the first one I grabbed, but never burned a copy cause ive been too busy with fall out (which I now re downloaded again) im having too much fun with tom Clancy endwar. After reviewing all the boards and complaints , it would seem review and bad ss/crc etc are the issues, meaning its the games. I hope c4eva can get a 1.5ixtreme to procted against THOSE issues.

 

i have the bad version of cod5 and i ran it thru muleter and it applied a fix, so is this now a good version? im kind of confused on the fixing thing. do we really need to run 2-3 fixing programs for the same game or does mulleter work alone just fine?

R/F games are REGION FREE, can play anywhere, u should not get banned, I was in the millitary and had MANY R/F games living in japan and eurasia.

You can change your PST to lets say CHINEASE time, as example people trying to halo 3 boost playing in weaker countries (real weak imo) but thats irrelavent.

 

Ok people my first post, ive been following this thread quite a bit to get some closure but the cause of the bans still remains somewhat inconclusive (for me anyway).

Not sure what drive i have as a friend flashed it for me...i know it had iXtreme 1.4 and all games were stealth checked. Banned last night, oh well thats the consequence when you take the risk, wasnt like I didnt know.

Played Fallout 3, Gow 2, Saints Row 2 and Cod:WoW all prior to release but never online until after release. Still had the achievements from offline though and did login to play my originals online.

What im wondering, is if I get a new 360 and recover my gamertag, will the new unmodded 360 get banned, due to the fact the achievements are showing prior to the games actual release date? I know its a console ban, but when I look under the Xbox live status it says "yourAccount has been banned for blah blah".

Please help as i dont want to lose my gamertag, and dont realy want to shell out for a new 360 and have that banned.

Any help appreciated, sorry for the essay.

 

ok here we go just got banned from live ...1900 hours in uk on friday eve...game history this week ....weds ,thurs,played cod 4, smackdown 09 ,and gears 2....today played the same games in same order all on live as soon as my lad swapped game to gears 2 it signed us out of live and we are banned ...do not play gears 2 at any cost i am assuming if i had not put this game back in i would still be on live.......
