NOVEMBER 2008 BAN WAVE !!! - no posts of "Oh POOR ME I'M BANNED", Stop it already, just the facts

Exactly and you won't see any MS employee posting confidential information in here or anywhere else. They could lose their job or be sued.....the list goes on. I used to have a teacher that worked for microsoft, and he first talked about ethics and how if you work for a major corporation like MS, GEAE or even GM then you keep your mouth shut. There are so many things that can happen other than getting fired...it's not las vegas... but in a major coporate world it feels like it.

We just have to wait and see what's happening, all my major xbox ties have different opinions. So now we just have to wait and see.

 

I think it's pretty funny that all these idiots who play the games online before they are released get banned-pure stupidty and glad they get nailed.

that was an incorrect post. I think he was trying to reference a xbox scene forums which c4eva looked at the dump, but he didn't say it was only account bannings. (atleast this was true when I looked earlier in the day).

what I meant guesswho was did c4eva confirm there is no new M$ xbl firmware checks? or I just not comprehend what tavek was trying to say? I do understand the diff of console vs account I was more concerned about wether or not this c4eva fella took a look at the current xblive checks in regards to his current firmware....

on a lighter note..... I am not banned from xbl but just got banned from ebay, them f*cken snakes at ebay piss me right off!!!!

 

well then yeah. From what I saw earlier, he said that there were no new firmware detection methods. He posted the findings on xbox scene. So according to c4eva, there is no new methods of detecting firmware (yet). When dashboard update comes out, this might change.

So this leads to people thinking playing bad rips/playing game on live before it is released is what is causing it. But no one knows for sure. So that's why we're trying to gather as much useful info as possible

 

its pretty much nailed down to 2 games,
Saints row (the non retail version "VORTEX " and seed4me versions)
and Fallout 3 (seed4me)
COD5 beta keys (using a downloaded version that EVERYONE had)
Call Of Duty World At War-Allstars(supposedly BAD SS)

Ok; here's what I have to say :

First, I highly suspect I have Xtreme 1.4 as firmware (can't tell because I bought it from another guy). I never played games before their releases and I always double check my DVD to see if they're well stealth'ed.

Yesterday my Gold Trial expired;

About 2 hours ago, I booted up my 360 to play; it was the first time I booted it up since my Gold subscription ended. It did login and I even made a connection test; everything was good.
2 hours ago, I wasn't banned.

Now I haven't tried another time; my gf is on the TV, so I'll wait... I'll keep this updated for the sake of us all.

I had it before, lol, oh boo-hoo, did you get banned?? Gee, genius, might want to think about playing the game on Live AFTER it is released, know it's a hard concept for someonelike you to understand.

What about COD:WAW bad kreon version or any other bad kreon or Seed4Me release? I'm not banned and I'm on Live almost daily.

 

Due to reading all this, and now finding out that the chance of my console getting banned seeming more possible, I'm going to purchase another Xbox. (Arcade Version) and use it solely for legit copies of games. I'll keep my possibly soon banned console for backups.

 

i've got saints 2 and fallout 3 and as of 5 minutes ago my console wasnt banned. do we have absolute confirmation that M$ is banning consoles or is this a bad rumor thats got spread around? if they are i've got to believe it's gow2 or cod:waw that are causing the ban

 

I have a legitimate beta code for call of duty world at war never played the backup version never put in gow2 or fallout 3 or saints row 2 so i dont think thats it atleast not for me. I was banned last night

 

Nobody knows. I haven't recieved the hammer yet, and I played Saints Row 2 and COD WaW before release.

played fallout 3, gears 2, tales of vesperia early and was online for a bunch of other games and still am not banned. benq xtreme 1.41
did not play WaW beta until it was open(for 360)
checked my WaW-allstarsr with both xbox backup creator and xdvdmullter passed with both.

 

Ok, so I got banned last night 11/11/08. Said my account had been banned, but when checking it was my console, my account worked on another xbox. It was an early 360 with samsung drive and ixtreme 1.4. I played Gears 2 but not before release date. I also used that reviewer copy of Saint's Row 2 and Fracture, but not before release date. I have a feeling it was that copy of GOW2 because it is strange it leaked so early and it was very glitchy for me and skipped in some cut scenes. I also have a modded newer xbox with benq drive. I hope that hasnt been banned. Shouldnt be, havent played any recent game on it.

As long as I get my legit version of the NXE with the avatars M$ can go get stuffed. I only ever use Xbox live for the Live Arcade games and if they want to ban me when i go back on then so be it, im not buying a new 360 just to go on and get my ass kicked my some Elite guys that always kick my ass, insted I will just buy the game that maybe I want to play online for the PS3 and play on the PSN cos its free.
