i have read all the other messages posted and am still not clear on a few things, wot i would like to know is the following. 1. i have a ps2 thats not chipped,a dvd burner and i was wondering if i can play copyied ps2 games on it and 2. if so how do i go about doing it. would aprieciate all the help, sorry if this questions has already been answered just that i couldnt see it anywhere else,
Yes it has been answered (use search bar) and sort of.. there is a swap disk method but requires that u buy it and u know what your doing. howver this way is quite a bit harder i imagine. You can play them without a chip or swap method!!! if u buy a burner which allows you to burn bad sectors (these are specilest burners which only sony + other game manufactures can buy) and they prob cost a freaking bomb.... mod chips are good fairly simple to use...gr8 if u can get them working however they do ware down the laser and other ps2 parts quicker. Answer for question 1: no you cant. you need to modify your ps2 console in some way either, modchip,swapmagic w/fliptop or slide card, gameshark, AR. you are in the right direction already since you have a dvd burner. Answer for question 2: modify it. some-way or another. i did mines with the fliptop and the swap magic discs. they have not fail me, not even one game, all my back ups work great. go here to see what this combo looks like. www.tisinc99.com and look for the fliptop swapmagic combo. thats the most i know about so thats what im recomending, im pretty sure someone is going to come along the post and tell you to get a modchip, you do whatever you want, but if you want to play backup's something has to be done to your ps2. peace and you shouldve searched alot more, dont be lazy.
