ok i have my internet hooked up from my cable modem to my comp using a USB cord but i want it to use an ethernet but when i unhook the USB and plug in the ethernet no PC Light on the cable modem comes on.i know there is nothing wrong with my Ethernet card because i use it for my xbox using a crossover cable so all is well there any ideas on my PC light not coming on????
are you using a paralel cable to hook from the pc to the modem or your crossover cable ? you need to use a paralel cable
nevermind found out it was a bad cable modem i traded with my friend now everything works great.......
