NTL ireland/dublin Dreambox 600 stopped showing channesl 03042008

Hi,
I have a Dremabox 600 and a Starview.
When came home Db600 was not descrambling channels anymore. Checked starview and it managed to autoroll itself.
However Dreambox still not working. I see sby posted keys for NTL this afternoon. Are they relevant for NTL ireland? How dow I fix my dremabox, as far as I understand there is not autoroll in Gemini Image (3.5.0 with evocamd .2.12) that I use in Dreambox.
Any help greatly appreciated.

are you saying your starview has managed to update itself and is now working ?

 

my starview 2-the box updated itself too on chor^s cable, but dm500 and dm600 are both down. tried loads of cams,keys etc but no joy.

 

i have the same problem with my DM500. any update as to what the problem is?

 

Hi there....I guess you only hear from us lot when there's trouble but there you go.....Anyway my D500T has worked a treat for months and has always rolled with the punches however this one has it winded :-( Has anyone got an idiots guide specific to the dream500* to get it going again? Thanks! really appreciate it....

 

using TuxBox Commander plugin scroll to /usr/keys/keylist.txt . with keylist.txt highlighted press 4 on remote to edit the keylist. On the first line of keylist file check the 16 digit number/letter code against
the new chor^s/n@l code for your area. There will be a few digits wrong compared to the new codes, change these. exit and save. restart evocamd and it should work.

 

I'm afraid that my Tuxbox commander doesn't have a DIR labelled "user" also at the risk of getting a slap I don't know the latest codes for my area - chor^s Terrestrial via MMDS Kilkenny...we had got most of our channels by manually scanning certain frequencies....

 

rua11 try /var/keys/keylist.txt and edit this as you have a 500T. your new code for chor^s mm^s is A01265BD7233FBBC.

 

Thanks for that Mayto but when I navigated there the field was empty apart from the file path on top and "line 1 of 1" beside it. I guess there was nothing to edit. Would this be because we may not have had area codes included in the original (dreamworldz) image flashed (thus the subsequent need to scan manually). If that is the valid code can I enter it somehow manually now?...

 

rua11, are you using evocamd 2.12? add the following to the first lineof the keylist file
N 5E01 00 A01265BD7233FBBC then save and exit. restart cam and should work.

Happy days are back here in KK. The mistake that I was making was I should have pressed "edit"(4) instead of clicking (OK) on the file in the directory. It's true that they have only changed one digit.

Hi there, not wanting to elbow in on Mayto's turf or anything but it might get you started. press the yellow button on the remote for "Plug ins"

 

Tanks rua11, I have the blue panel open. After pressing addons my i cannot seem to find tuxbox, neither can i download because box cannot resolve host name. where can i Download and how can i instal tuxbox. Also what keys do i imput and how do i do it on a DM500C.

 

TBH Ojola, I'm as much a newbie as you are... I rely on the good council of the regulars here. I would not want to give you a "bum steer" so maybe it's best if one of the gurus here were to take it from this point. For what its worth my tux box commander was "built in" and I didn't have to download it. I presume that it was part the "Dreamworldz" image that I originally flashed on the box using the "Dream up" interface (which I found unnervingly and unusually simple to do).....

I'm afraid that I don't have it on this PC but if you look around the forums here you're bound to find plenty of links to download any number of images. Some of them come with the codes for your area already factored in. In our situation it was a case of manually scanning certain frequencies kindly supplied in this parish. Sorry I'm not much more help but take my word for it if you stick around here long enough somebody will get you sorted....

Thanks. I ve managed to auto download and install tuxbox on Nabillo image. Ive been unable to edit the keys with tuxbox. This led me to using Ftp to get the keylist file edited with the new key. I am also using evocam 1.12. I have not slept since yesterday man not good.heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp
