hi i am all new to this and would love some help on how to do it. i have got a spare ntl box at home and would like to get it chipped and put it in my bedrooom. is it possible to get a splitter and run a coax wire to my room and have chipped ntl in my bedroom even if my box downstairs is not chipped. my friend recently tried this without chipping his box but the box would not work and kept sayin NIT then Tune and thats it nothing on the screen. if my box has not got a paired card is it possible to get a card and pair them together? any help would be great please let me know thanks.
Depends on what type of pace box you have. And by the way it will take you quite a while to do this if you have not done it before. My advice is to do a lot of reading first and then come back.
i shall ask the person who chips my box to sort out the card. he used 2 work for ntl. aslong as i can use a splitter to my bedroom thats great. any idea whats wrong with my friends box. saying NiT then saying Tune with nothing on the screen? thanks.
