    Hi All,

I'd like to convert some old VHS cartoons onto DVD. The source tapes include both NTSC and PAL formats. Would like to convert them all onto the one DVD in PAL format. Will any of the Canopus ADVC's do this during transfer to MPEG2 files, or what do I need to do this?

I did try to research this on two international Canopus forums, and this forum, but to no avail. So sorry if this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer.

    Most grateful for any assistance.

Well the ADVC Units do not Encode to Mpeg-2 so the answer is "No"....

The ADVC units will capture From both NTSC and Pal Sources and if you want to Convert the NTSC Captures to Pal you can useing something like "Canopus Procoder" which can encode your NTSC DV AVI files captured from the ADVC into Pal Mpeg-2/DVD Files that you can author to Pal DVD....

    Cheers
