    Hi
I have a usb to 9pin and it works fine, did you get an installation disc with it and run it? If so go into device manager/and see which com port has been allocated and set your loading S/W the same.

no i didn't get an installation cd with it, just assumed xp would detect it and install generic drivers.

    Hi
I wouldn't think a 25pin would work either, would also need a driver because the loading software uses Com ports and the 25 pin is printer port. Goto the popular auction site and enter 'usb to com port' in the search box, the third or forth one down is £0.99p + postage also has a driver CD in the listing.
