i wasnt dising because it simpyl ahd more, that is well out of context.

i diss the USB thing because what sony have done is put WAY TOO many on.
adding to the cost and nearly all of them wont be used at once.
2 or 3 used at once, at tops.
people use their PC's for their USB things as there much better for those things.

xbox 360's 3 does make more sense, e.g. 2 wired controllers in, (i have 2 wired ones), and the last place is someplace in which i can plug my ipod into it. (which i have done).
then i upload my music onto my new hard drive, then play the good stuff (punk rock/hard rock/metal etc) whilst playing my games at the same time with by brother in two player (against 15 bots on hard LOL), on perfect dark zero on a lovely 27" HDTV @ 720P.

thats why only 3 is needed, all i uplink is my ipod, nothing else.
not everyone even has ipods. i can do it with my PSP as well.
PS3 doesnt give the customers choise of wired controllers (i dont think), so the 7 USB posts are for accessories only.
there a waste, they should have just had 2 on it.
it would have lowered the price, and lowered the number of things that arnt* used on the PS3 by 1, but some still exist (e.g. dual HDTV wont be used by 95% of people).
they should make a dual HDTV adapter as an accessory, so those who need one can get it, not forcefully put it on all their consoles adding the price, making customers pay for things that they wont use on it.
1080P is better, (if you can afford it) ill give them that, at least for watching DVD's and TV only, cant tell the difference between I and P when playing games (as i have talked about in my interlaced/ progressive post).

coulod you imagine the loss m$ would recieve if the sold the primeum for 300? around 200 dollars a console. the core would lose about 150. would m$ really be willing to toss that cash?id see a price slash of no more than 25, if they even slash. but with sony hidhing everythign and making it look like the console is being delays, m$ is taking their sweet time producing more 360's. if sony suddenly pounces and says "ps3 in 3 weeks!" then ms would have no time to produce enuf counter-consoles.

DUDE, think of it 7 controllers, 7usb ports,
7 controllers will be fun for like hockey and sport games when the game doesnt split into mini screens.
Omg, even laptops have 6usb ports, my computer has 5! 5! and its already a year and somthing years old.

If 360 comes with HD technology, expect the 360 to cost 75- 150$ more.

my pc has 6 and its 2 or 2.5 years old. also 7 on split screen wouldnt look right, 6 would, and maybe leave the extra for a headset for chatter.

i also do the same thing and i listen to that kind of music as well it goes best with pgr 3.

i just wanted to point out in case no one noticed halo 2 was more succesful in the first 24 hours than most movies have ever been... for the record of 125 million dollars in sales in 24 hours. however that is only roughly 2 million copies NOTE: this thread is just a [bold]*TAD*[/bold] pointless. just try both systems when PS3 comes out then decide based on the games.

okay so you guys NEVER have a coupole of friends over to play Xbox with you? i mean come on. juast last friday i had 3 friends over and we BEAT that gaunlet or something or other RPG game for xbox. FOUR wired ports FOUR people playing. besides i would have thought that you would have payed $5 more for the wireless controllers as i would have done if i was going to buy a 360.

Ok. Let's stop talking about ports, they really are not adding a lot to the build costs, about one dollar....
Kookoo, Blu-Ray may come to the 360... M$ have said they will qait it out a while to see which format is looking to be the most potent... Sony does not own Blu-Ray, nobody truly owns it, and any company who wishes to license the technology is allowed to at a set price, that includes M$ and sony. It is just that Sony are the main proponents of Blu-Ray, along with Toshiba and some others I believe, and M$ currently support the currently more sensible and economical HD-DVD format... Anybody can use and license these technologies!!!
I am not biuased one way ort the other, I just don't like people touting the PS3 because of how powerful the Sony marketing machine is. I like both consoles and both have some serious good points and some annoying points. I will own both, as long as teh PS3 does not debut at an outrageous price...
Anubis. M$ can sit pretty knowing that they were a year ahead with final silicon when compared to Sony... Sony still have not final silicon and I doubt more than 300,000 consoles will be ready before November - that's how the industry works...

the only time i used both my wired controllers was when i got one from my core system and my friend brought his round from his core system. i wanted to buy premium but they sold out sooo....

p.s 2 million for halo release was only for america if you count europe as well i am sure it would double.

halo 2 sold more in the first 24 hours than any game.
it truly pwned san andreas, (its nearest rival).
halo 3 looks to be bought by every 360 owner when it comes out.
im gonna pre-order that thing as soon as i get word of it coming to a game shop that i go to.
    hell YES on that one.

And PGR3 with HDTV' and my own music is flamin fantastic.
pure entertainement. the console is doing its job very very well for me. thats all their for.

    entertainement.

i minght get a PS3 aswell, or a juicy new GPU for that time (for my PC), hmm i have to decide, meh, ill delay the choise till much later in the year.

if the later games are even better than the very high standard they are already are promised to be (looks fantastic, halo 3, GOW), then i probably wont get a PS3, purely because of the games choise.

anubis i can play all my old games on my 360.
all of them, and they play MUCH MUCH faster,
    from 30FPS to around 80FPS.
    big BIG boost.

especially in KOTOR 2 (that game ran soooo slow on xbox 1).

its only the reject xbox games (that are really crap) that arnt backwards compatible.
if people still want to play those on the 360 then there strange.
(as the xbox has more than enough power to play games like those).
and games can be scaled up to 720P. its not true 720P i know, BUT the quality is still much better.
especially with halo 2 upscaled to 720P with a much higher framerate.
    fantstic.

and xbox live, and the emulator thing, is about as easy as you can get.
(my core, except for wireless controllers, is now fully upgraded to a premium package.) at last!

Truthman please, you cannot say how much fps its running. Nor estimate. Just say it runs better and faster....

I dont htink there is an option screen with the graphic details and everything, showing you how much fps the game is.
Yes of cource the game would run faster.
