I reall didn't know where to post this but here goes. Specs: P4 3.4GHZ MOBO Gigabyte 8I915PL-G Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard onboard sound Geforce 7800GT 1gigRAM pvr-500 250GB WD 40GB Seagate XP Home sp2 500W TRUE Power Antec My problem is that every time I use the video-in part of my 7800GT (nVidia WDM video capture universal) to capture I get a code 10- this device can not start. This comes after I'm done when the capture and close whatever app that I used. Upon an attempt to capture again with the same app, I notice that the WDM driver is not availible. I would then have to uninstall all the drivers to the card and reinstall them in order to capture using the WDM capture driver, but the problem starts all over again. I know it was not intended to work this way I've tried different apps, but the same outcome (virtualdub, windows movie maker, sagetv, etc.) I've read other people are experiencing similar problems with this code, but there has been no solution. I don't have a problem with the video-out portion of the card, just video-in. I paid $300+ for this card and this shouldn't be happening. I don't know if its the driver or the way the card is handeling the driver, all I know is this is a problem. Would other capture drivers work with this card? Someone please help.
download the latest capture drivers from the n-vidia web site, ( i believe its this one http://www.nvidia.com/object/wdm_geforce_4.13.html ) also have a go using windows movie maker to capture the video.
Samething happens when I use windows movie maker or any other app. The version of WDM driver I used came with the installation cd of my card. I'm not sure if 4.13 is installed already or not; I'll take a look when I get home.
