I have a wierd problem. I just built a new computer recently.

    Amd 3200+ Barton
    Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard
    (2) Kingston 512MB 400 DDR Dual channel Ram
    Sapphire radeon 9800 pro
    420watt PS

since i built it i have had nothing but problems with the memory. It will not run both sticks of ram simotaniously in any mode at 400mhz. it runs one stick fine but crashes constantly if i put in another. Memory problem you say?
Apparently not. I replaced it with a new matched set of Kingston , then a matched set of corsair, then another Matched set of kingston. No go, sooo I tried dropping the memory speed to 83% (333mhz). HOly cow it works!! well sorta, that is 400mhz ram... so i toss in a set of the realy spendy corsair 2700 ram...doh! crashes out! unless of course i run that at 83% speed...oh this is gettin wierd...
SO ah ha! sounds like a motherboard issue now...yea...well 3 asus motherboards and a Gigabyte equivalent later...still doin the same thing...
Only common denominator on those boards seems to be the NForce chipset (which has notorious memory problems) so off i go downloading, flashing and otherwise completely nuking the bios..
dozens of forum reccomendations and 3 flashes/upgrades later....same ol same ol....

soooo uhm the chip maybe doin something to create memory errors? <boggle>
any input <even input i've heard before> would be appritiated.

Yes i figured as much but specifically with chipset? I know the earlier ASUS nF2 based mobos had problems because of some flaw in the NF2 chipset but that was fixed... which chipset are you talking about? :)
