Ive been trying to install windows 8 with my raid configuration of 2 raptor 74gb hdds with my Asus A8N SLI Deluxe motherboard. the install shows both drives separately so I updated my bios and now the NVRaid utility (where you press F10 at startup)is gone! I can't figure out how to get it back, especially since the chipset is nforce4. I installed windows 8 on one HDD to some how try and flash an update or something specifically for the nvraid utility. (I have the silicon raid disabled and nvraid enabled in the bios already) The PC was prebuilt by alienware, its the starwars darkside edition if that helps.
if part of the bios til you updated the bios so is now gone, you have 2 choices. 1: keep the current version of bios. 2: downgrade current bios to previous version of bios.
if I do that i'll have the same issue where it shows up as 2 separate HDDs again...I'm really lost on what to do...
