eh.. put in disc one. Lol

yeah you have to have the disc in the drive to start it up or it won't start.Or you could get a no crack cd it's your choice.

It's a measure against pirates and bootleggers by the way..

Or do you mean you have the disc in the drive already and it still says that?

In that case uninstall and reinstall the game.

I have the disk in the drive when it asks this and I can't uninstall when it hasn't installed anything. I went through all my temp files and made sure all my background programs were turned off, but I got the same result. For some reason this DVD thinks it should have a friend.

The only thing is the obvious unfortunately. It's take it back...or Email the product support team. You see the isn setup file is A compilation of all the files for your game. It's the glue that the install shield uses. The only other thing is going into the drive by clicking it's letter and try to find the installer but I dunno if it will work, give it a try though.

A small portion of any cd/dvd product come off the line burned slightly off due to the pressing of the disc's.I'm sorry I know it's a bummer:(

Hey perhaps someone else will come along who knows something I don't though.

I called Bethesda about this problem. They informed me that many people have had this problem due to it partually installing from the start and then having issues with other software on the computer after that. They had me delete it from the Regestry and uninstall some programs that have issue with the disk exaple: Roxio 7. After all that it was Oblivion for the win. thanks for ya help Tycobb and may you never miss at bat.

Are you inserting the original disc or a backup?

I was told most DVD burning software has issues with the game.
