Hi I'd appreciate it if somone could tell me what's going on with this problem. I installed Windows Media player 9 and Nimo codec 5 (aswell as Divx 5.11 and 311 alpha) but now I can't playback DVDs. A message pops up stating 'Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer.' But if I play a video file that's on my computer then try playing a DVD it works. I've tried uninstalling Nimo to no effect. Your knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
I should also point out that I have Intervideo installed so I definitely have DVD playback software. It also suggests I alter resolution/ no. of colours but this doesn't work either.
