Link here Once again the Office Depot Media is on sale starting on Sunday, $9.99 for a 50 pack spindle. This offer is in-store only.
have'nt had any problems with the riteks either Though I've had more experience with the 8x media either sold as maxells or Officedepot Branded disc ! I did burn one out the spindles I bought yesterday and it seems to have burned/recorded well so far ! longterm ? I guess I'll ait & see but I did burn a taiyo yuden safety copy of the same movie just in case ! Though Barring accidents I doubt I'll need it !
I bought 4 packs and one was RICHOJPN and the other 3 were Ritek R05. They also had some Ritek F16's but the last batch I used of those were very hit and miss. I got some really bad PIF spikes on some of those checking with CD Speed. I burn the R05's at 8X and they do nicely although the PIE is in the 40 to 60 range. Like most I would have prefered RICHOJPN but oh well. I wonder why the shelf stock is a mixture all the time....seems like it would tend to be more one manufacturer if they are stocking from fresh unopened boxes?
http://club.cdfreaks.com/f58/100-pa...14-99-08-31-08-09-06-08-a-251644/#post2119586 I'm going to pick up a spindle of the DL as well for $14.99
I bought some of the $15 sale priced -R packs and they coded as Ritek F1. They completely failed the PIF test towards the end of the disc (quality score 0, went into the red/purple on the graph) in Nero CD-DVD speed and I just ended up returning them to the store. I used to like Riteks when they had 4x and 8x media only (G04) but their 16x media is crap.

I picked up 5 of the 100 pk spindles of OD +16x for $73.43 after taxes and 2 ink cart returns. $14.99 per 100 pk is hard to turn down.Grab em up while they last. I haven't opened them up,but ritek or ricoh,I'll burn them all day long.Last couple of batches have been ritek this year.
Yeah, i'll be grabbing a couple of these. Hoping for RICHOJPN's, but at that price i'll be ok if they're RITEK. EDIT: @Saugmon; post back when you code 'em out. I'm curious.
