Recenty MS Office XP has been very slow to open in all programmes. An application takes around 20 seconds to load. If I open it from within a programme it is instant. For example Word will open as a shortcut immediately and I can then open documents from within it no problem. If I try to open the same document from its saved location it stalls. I have tried re-installing Office, no change. If I boot into Safe Mode the documents open immediately again. I have loads of memory amd a fast processor. I have not installed any new programmes and in fact I have just Re-installed Widows XP on a clean drive so everything is new. Any suggeations would be helpful as I am not sure where to start with this one.
Hi, no everything else works as it should. I have also bought Office 2007 and this is exactly the same. (Not running together on the same machine).
