A little over 4900 posts in this thread alone. :) WOW!! coming up on page 200 too. Where's our HERO docTY so we can give the LAD a pat on the back. hehehe.

Never came across the Verb's you're talking about that I can remember. ;) I found 2 50 packs at Sam's the other day for $7.81 each + tax. Couldn't believe it a pack of DVD+R and DVD-R. YEAH!!

    MKM 001 or MKM 003

MKM is the parent company name - Mitsubishi Kagaku Media

Simply put, NO. Most of what you buy now will have the MCC mid somewhere in the ID code. NOW if you're one of the lucky souls that get the Ultra Sexy Verb TY's then you have a Verbatim that says Verbatim on the outside and a NICE pretty TY on the inside. BUT of course you must live in or near the UK. People like creaky, sam, Ripper, billybob, and the others have the opportunity to buy such SEXY discs. Sorry for the "sexy" lingo but those who know understand the terminology. :p

Of course this is for the SL discs. WE just discussed the DL discs. AS far as I know the DL discs are only made with the MKM id.

binkie7 please add or correct me. Be kind. :p

    - aww, gotta love them thar ultra sexy Verb TY's, though i haven't bought any in the longest time as i still have far too many in stock, plus i use shedloads of 'almost as sexy looking' Maxell 16x +R (RICOHJPNR03) so my stocks of Verb TY don't get as much of a look in as they did so will probably last a couple of years i'd imagine.

edit- re those MKM Verb DL discs - "MCC (Mitsubishi Chemicals Corporation) is the parent company of MKM (Mitsubishi Kagaku Media), which in turn is the parent company of Verbatim."

edit 2- doh!, binkie had mentioned MKM near end of previous page. "My mind is going."

If 4x gone then why can I still buy remaining -R white inkjet printable (thats all they have) from Meritline & Supermediastore? I'll buy it as long as whatever remaining stock lasts 200 or 400 discs at a time then go to TY 8x. Yes I can burn 16x but have no real need to...

Well either burn it or give the discs to somebody that doesn't mind the longer burn time these discs require.
