    Which is better really depends on the burner you use ... the BenQ, Plextor, NEC and LiteOn drives seem to favor the Yudens while Pioneer, Ricoh and HP like the Verbatim discs ...

    @Jurgennop
    try burning at 8x speed your TY's for PS2 backups
    then check for scores
    burning at 4x speed will NOT give good resaults with BENQ's

    yet Tojikin always burns his TY at 4x and has great results,i think...I've also heard that burning at 8x damages the ps2 lens more.

    Well I get great results burning at 4x on Taiyo Yuden's. It's one of those issues where everybody's burner is different. If you burn at 8x and have good results, then stick with it. Likewise if you get good results burning at 4x, stick with it. Burning at half the max speed of the disc is a good starting point.

    In case anybody has been wondering where kivory has been, he is in the hospital. His wife informed me and ask ppl not to send anymore private messages as his pm box is getting full. She hopes he will be out soon and asked that we all keep him in our thoughts and prayers.

    Stress related. He's been taking better care of his patience than himself.

    sigh... poor docTY. :( Hang in there, doc, hope you feel better soon. And hey, if you're gone a few extra weeks taking a much needed vacation, I think we'll survive. You've helped lay the foundation so that those who remain can carry on in your absence. :)

    Awesome. Nice Scan Berger. I think I've just been fortuante with my burner. I get 99's frequently on the Yuden000T02. Hopefully this makes your a recovery a little better Doc. Almost everybody in this thread uses TY or Verbs, so that should be all the proof you need that you've had an effect on the people here at AD. Get well Soon!

    Here's my latest 99:
